Turn New Leaf on Library Reserves

Faculty who have materials on Reserve in Library that will not be used for the new year are reminded to remove them. There is limited space and many new items will be arriving.

Amy Dodd in the Library’s Access Services says, “We will be removing and returning any material that has NOT been checked out in the past six months. Also, if you have any material that you would like placed on Reserve for the spring semester, please bring it to us as soon as possible. We ask that when filling out the Reserve form, please include your MEID number, full name as it appears in the GCC directory, your office location and extension or phone number where we may contact you. We offer one-hour and two-hour check out times. We will no longer process check out times that allow the material to leave the library. The change is necessary to keep your textbooks in the library so they are accessible to as many students as possible. We have found if a Reserved book leaves the library for a 24-hour or one-week check out, the book usually does not make it back to the library within the allotted time. If you have any questions, please contact me at 623.845.3107 or amy.dodd@gcmail.maricopa.edu.”
