CTLE Conversion Moves ForwardAs you read in last month's Gaucho Gazette article by Vice President Greg Rogers, the Center for Teaching, Learning and Engagement conversion is moving forward. The interim dean of Instruction of Academic Planning and Projects office has been moved into the CTLE. Materials, equipment and furniture are in the bidding process and will be arriving in record time.
Throughout the summer, the CTLE staff has continued to meet with Facilities Management, OIT and Media Services making certain this conversion is well planned. Interim Dean Rachelle Hall will continue to meet with the CTLE stakeholders on a regular basis throughout the upcoming semester to ensure continual input and feedback is received about the center. After all, this center is for YOU!
Getting the room up and running for the Fall 2011 semester would be aggressive at this point, but we are well on our way to providing a location for training and professional development for all employee groups as well as instructional design and development for faculty, as soon as we possibly can.
The CTLE continues to offer a full schedule of training courses for faculty and employees during the time of conversion; there is no planned interruption of services. If it becomes necessary, the training classes may be scheduled in an alternate location during times of heavy construction to ensure the attendees receive the optimum training experience. - submitted by Rachelle Hall, interim dean of Instruction of Academic Planning and Projects
