Notes for Parents
Glendale Community College certainly recognizes how important you have been to your student’s achievements thus far. While this transition from high school to college allows your student some new independence, we would like to offer parents a way to stay involved with your student’s success.
There are several potential ways that you may take a “behind the scenes” approach to supporting your student:
- Help plan and participate in some activities like Welcome Week, Finals Week, graduation celebrations and philanthropic events.
- Become a resource for prospective parents who may want your perspective on Glendale Community College.
- If your employer is in need of interns, volunteers and/or summer employees, perhaps you could consider Glendale Community College students who may be interested in learning more about your field.
We would like to work with you to see how you can best continue to support your students even as they transition into this new independence. If you are interested in taking a lead in coordinating our parent volunteers, please note that as well so we can get this group started.
