Academic Advisement
Why Academic Advisement Is Important
Achieving a college education depends upon setting goals and taking appropriate steps to achieve them. The advising process helps you explore options, establish short-term and long-term objectives and develop action plans. Thoughtful planning, commitment to your goals, and active participation in the process are key elements to your success. Early planning is the key. We encourage you to seek academic advising in September, October, February, and March when advisors have the most time to spend with you to create your plan.
