What is Blackboard?

Blackboard Learn (v9.0) is Glendale’s Learning Management System that instructors can use to deliver course content, communicate with students, enable student interaction, and provide on-line assignments and assessments. Whether the course is taught face to face, fully online, or as a hybrid, instructors can use Blackboard Learn to more fully engage students in learning activities.

Blackboard Course Request Form
Faculty may use this form to request the creation of an online/hybrid/resource course on Blackboard. GCC requires all faculty using Blackboard to obtain some training. We encourage you to check the workshop calendar for the upcoming schedule.

Log into Blackboard and navigate to the GCC Bb User Group. If you do not have this email bb@gcmail.maricopa.edu and request access to the user group. Once you are in select Bb 9 Docs. Here you will find documents that you can print or read on screen about how to get started, grade center, test and surveys, and a number of other topics.
