Gauchos Improve to 4-2
The Glendale Gauchos improved to 4-2 on Saturday with a 30-6 victory over Phoenix College.For the second week in a row, the Gaucho defense didn't allow a score until late in the 4th quarter. Two freshmen were strong in the defensive effort on Saturday, Tari Jones (Desert Edge) recovered a fumble in the end zone for a score and safety Streeter Turner (Willow Canyon) made 2 INTs.
Offensively, RB Patrick Browne (Tolleson) had 139 yards and 1 TD and QB Dain McFarland (Centennial) threw for 156 yards and 2 TDs. Jesse Tate (Flagstaff) and Willie Rzucidio caught TD passes.
Glendale takes on Pima CC next Saturday at home at 7 PM.
