Gauchos Beat PC in Home Opener
The Glendale Gauchos improved their 2012 record to 1-1 with a 55-26 win over visiting Phoenix College on Saturday.
A strong rushing attack was key to Glendale's success on the night. The Gauchos had 60 rushes for 334 yards and 4 TDs. Leading the way was RB Devontre Burks. Burks had 119 yards and scored 2 TDs. QB Jon Brown added 107 yards and a score and RB John Greer scored as well.
Brown also went 5 of 6 passing for 145 yards and 3 TDs. WRs Jesse Tate and John Green both had scores and RB Isaiah Hendrix had one as well.
Glendale's defense was led by safety Ramon Abreu who had 10 total tackles and 1 sack. Linebacker Jordan McFadden also approached double digit tackle and had 2 sacks.
Glendale travels to Snow College next week.
