Gauchos Pound Pima 63-0
Glendale improved to 6-2 with a 63-0 win over Pima on Saturday night.The Gauchos headed into the game with the #14 ranking in the most recent NCJAA poll and jumped out to an early 7-0 lead when QB Tyler Hosler hit John Carter from 40 yards out. The Gauchos never looked back.
Offensively, GCC rushed for 260 yards. Brad Jackson led all rushers with 103 yards and a score on 18 carries. Tim Hullaby rushed for 63 yards, Mike Vaughn rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown and Ronnie Whitehead contributed 60 yards and another score.
Hosler went 8 of 12 on the night and threw 4 touchdown passes. Carter had 2 on the night while Daniel Tervort and Jamal Johnson had one a piece.
The defense not only pitched a shutout but scored twice on their own. Safeties Colin Pape and Jake Long scored on an interception return and a fumble return respectively.
Glendale plays host to Mesa on Saturday at 7 pm.
