2008 Signing Class
Year in and year out, Glendale fields one of the most competitive teams in the entire country. Last seasson, GCC finished with a 6-4 record and was ranked the #19 team in the NJCAA.The Gauchos are able to do this by recruiting top-tier talent and this year's signing day class is not an exception.
Highlights from this year's class include wide receiver Jimmy Goad from Deer Valley and offensive lineman John May from Goldwater. Both shared the Northwest region's offensive player of the year award. The 6-3 Goad caught 42 passes for 489 yards and 4 scores.
Quarterback Dan Nicholas from Canyon del Oro led his team to the 4A1 state championship game behind 2,084 yards and 26 touchdowns.
Pat Cann from Eloy Santa Cruz and Brad Jackson from Coolidge both earned all state honors last year and will travel north to suit up in the black and red.
Greenway linebacker Brenin Brooks and Sunnyside QB Jamie Valdez both were able to get some reps in spring ball which will give them an advantage heading into fall camp.
