# 18 Gauchos upset in Yuma
The number # 18 Gauchos took a trip to Yuma on Saturday, the bus trip back, unfortunately was a long one.The Gauchos were upset by the Matadors 19-18 in a key game in WSFL play. The Gauchos now 5-3 overall, fell to 4-2 in league play. The loss column is the key for the Gauchos as they attempt to keep pace with this weekends opponent, MCC to host this years Valley of the Sun Bowl.
The Gauchos dominated the Matadors on the ground, outgaining them 252 to 93. Led by another stellar effort from Zack Hulse (27 carries for 198 yards 2 td's) the Gauchos were driving down to take the game when a Tyler Hosler pass was intercepted with 1:02 remaining in the game by Western DB Rex Sharpe. Western forced 5 Gaucho turnovers which was key for them to spring the upset.
Hosler replaced Brian Wiedeman in the fourth quarter after Wiedeman injured his knee. Wiedeman's status for the crucial WSFL matchup at Mesa is uncertain at this point.
The Gauchos now travel to Mesa to take on the Thunderbirds this Saturday, kickoff is set for 2:00 pm in Mesa.
