Gauchos come out flat; fall to Thunderbirds
The Gaucho women's soccer team hosted MCC this pass Saturday and fell to the Thunderbirds 1-0. "We came out really flat in the first half and gave up a late goal before halftime that really was kind of a back breaker." said Head Coach Michelle DiMeola. "The second half was better we came out strong and was close several times in getting a goal, but came up short. I was disappointed in the result because we were the better team but we have to play the whole game and not just a half." The Gauchos will return to action on Wednesday when they take the trek down to Douglas for a rematch with the Apache's from Cochise. Cochise defeated Glendale in the season opener 2-1 at GCC. "We have come a long way since that game, it will be tough, like always to win down there but if we battle like we have all year, we will be right there."
