Gauchos selected in Major League Draft
Two members of the 2008 GCC Baseball team were selected in the Major League Baseball Draft on June 3 and 4. Sophomore right-handed pitcher Brent Klinger, who came to Glendale from Greenway High School, was chosen by the Pittsburg Pirates in the 21st round. Another sophomore right-handed pitcher, Chase Lehr, was selected by the Houston Astros in the 49th round. Lehr went to Centennial High School and transferred to GCC from Yavapai after his freshman season.
