Tough Economic Times Put Spotlight on Donations

There is always a need for alumni and community gifts to support GCC, and the college has been fortunate and grateful for the generous gifts received during the past few years. However, current economic conditions are making such gifts more necessary than ever. The budget cuts to higher education made by the Arizona State Legislature have created a situation where significant cuts in the GCC budget must be offset by contributions to sustain the viability and outreach of selected programs. Numerous types of donor recognition are available, including naming opportunities for substantial gifts. For information about making gifts of any size, our community and alumni friends are encouraged to call Judy Sánchez, GCC Director of Development and Alumni Relations, at 623.845.3481 or write her at judy.sanchez@gcmail.maricopa.edu.
