Welcome: A Message from the President
As president of Glendale Community College, I welcome you and invite you to discover our college through this website! You will find that we've compiled and organized a great deal of helpful information about our programs and courses, our two campuses and the communities we serve.
For many of you, this may be the first exposure you have had to GCC. If that is the case, you could be in for a surprise. There is an abundance of information here about the 1,000+ courses we offer, the myriad university transfer degrees you can begin here, and the 50 associates degrees or 50 certificates you can pursue.
You will also find all kinds of information about the other activities that make college both fun and meaningful. GCC offers you student clubs of all kinds, student government opportunities, cultural performances all year, an internationally known forensics team and wonderful athletics programs. For example, you may be surprised to learn that the GCC Gaucho football team has won the National Junior College Athletic Association Championship three times in the last 20 years! Our internationally known forensic teams have won first-place awards all over the U.S. and in competitions around the world, including Paris, Madrid, Prague and Buenos Aires.
This site also contains a wealth of information about academic advising, counseling, career services, financial aid, scholarships and many other services that will help you achieve your personal educational goals.
